Bacon Wrapped Little Smokies combine smoky sausages and crispy bacon with a touch of sweet and savory seasoning. Quick to make and easy to grab with a toothpick, they’re a perfect appetizer for parties, game day, or casual entertaining.
First, preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. While it heats, mix the cowboy butter seasoning and brown sugar in a small bowl and set aside.
Next, prepare the bacon. Cut thick cut bacon strips into three equal pieces. Sprinkle a little of the seasoning mix along the center of each piece.
Then wrap the smokies. Take a little smokie and wrap it in a piece of bacon, securing it with a toothpick. Repeat until all smokies are wrapped. Lightly sprinkle the remaining seasoning mix over the tops.
Now bake. Place the wrapped smokies on a baking sheet and bake for 17 minutes, or until the bacon is fully cooked and slightly browned.
Finally, cool and serve. Let the smokies cool slightly, then serve with your favorite dip. We love pairing them with stone-ground mustard. Enjoy!
