Tender steak bites and cheesy tortellini tossed in rich, garlicky cowboy butter for a bold, savory dinner that is quick, filling, and packed with flavor.
1tablespoonSlap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning(or cajun seasoning)
1-1.5lbTortellini
½cupShredded Mozzarella Cheese
1tablespoonMinced Garlic
6tablespoonSalted Butter
½cupHeavy Cream
½cupPasta Waterreserved from tortellini
Instructions
First, bring a large pot of water to a boil. Add the tortellini and cook until tender according to the package instructions. Before draining, reserve ½ cup of the pasta water. Then drain the rest and set the tortellini and reserved pasta water aside.
Next, prepare the steak. Cut the steak into bite sized pieces. Meanwhile, heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add butter and minced garlic, then cook until fragrant. Add the steak bites and sear them until fully cooked and nicely browned.
Then add the flavor. Sprinkle in the Cowboy Butter and Slap Ya Mama Cajun Seasoning. Stir well so the steak absorbs all the seasoning.
Now build the sauce and bring everything together. Pour in the reserved pasta water and heavy cream, then stir until smooth. Add the cooked tortellini and shredded mozzarella, and mix until everything becomes creamy and well combined.
Finally, serve and enjoy! Sprinkle red pepper flakes on top if you want extra flavor and a little heat.
